Privacy Promise

How SeerKits handles your files — local-first processing, transparent upload boundaries, and automatic deletion.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Our Commitment

SeerKits is built on a privacy-first foundation. We believe you should know exactly what happens to your files before you click “Process.” This Privacy Promise explains our approach in plain language — no legal jargon required to understand the basics.

Local-first Processing

Whenever your browser and device support the required operation, SeerKits processes files entirely on your device using WebAssembly, WebCodecs, and other browser-native APIs. In these cases:

  • Your file never leaves your device
  • No upload occurs to any SeerKits server
  • Processing speed depends on your device capabilities
  • Results are available for immediate download from your browser

Tools that support local processing are marked with a “Local Processing” badge on the tool page.

When Uploads Happen

Some operations — such as certain codec conversions, AI-powered summaries, or OCR — require server-side processing because browser APIs alone cannot complete the job reliably. When a server path is needed:

  • You will see an explicit notice before any upload begins
  • The notice explains why server processing is required
  • Upload uses encrypted HTTPS transport
  • Files are processed in isolated, ephemeral environments

Hybrid tools attempt local processing first and only fall back to server processing when necessary, with your awareness at each step.

Deletion Policy

For any file that reaches our servers:

  • Files are deleted immediately after processing completes
  • We do not retain copies, backups, or thumbnails of your files
  • Processing logs contain only job metadata (duration, format, status) — never file contents
  • Failed jobs trigger automatic cleanup within 24 hours at most

Analytics Boundaries

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how SeerKits is used in aggregate. Analytics events include page views, tool starts, processing completions, and error rates. We do not collect:

  • File names, contents, or metadata
  • Personal information beyond what GA4 collects by default
  • Cross-site tracking or advertising profiles

See our Privacy Policy for full details on cookies and third-party services.

User File Authorization

By using SeerKits, you confirm that:

  • You own the files you process or have permission to modify them
  • You will not use SeerKits to process illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content without authorization
  • You understand which processing mode (local or server) applies to each tool you use

SeerKits reserves the right to block abusive usage patterns that violate our Terms of Service, regardless of processing mode.
